To get started first register with VATSIM

Go to the VATSIM website http://www.vatsim.net

In the left hand frame click on the Join Now link or the Join Now image

A new page will load in the adjacent frame. Click on the Join Now image

Click Yes to agree to the Code of Conduct. Read it first, it's very American, and very legalistic. If you are a normal civilised human being it should pose you with no problems.

Fill in the form, completing all fields.
- Put Oceania in for your preferred region (more on that later)
- Await your ID and password. You will need these to log into the VATSIM network, so keep them safe. Your initial rating will be Observer/Pilot.
- Forward your VATSIM ID to us, we are required by VATSIM to maintain a list of all our pilots who are VATSIM users
Then also register with VATPAC, our the Australian and Pacific VATSIM division:
- Go to the VATSIM website
- Click on the Join Now link or image in the left hand frame
- In the right hand frame click on Select a Division in a Region (Remember we chose Oceania last time as our region)
- You will need to enter your ID and password
- Choose VATPAC from the drop down list.
